چکیده
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Experimental modal analysis (EMA) is a measurement technique to assess the dynamical properties of mechanical components and systems in various phases their life cycle, e.g. for design, end-of-line testing health monitoring. The most common EMA uses accelerometers, which provide high frequency acceleration measurements at few discrete locations. However, attached accelerometers may alter mass damping multiple tests are required obtain spatially dense information. To overcome these issues, this paper we use high-speed cameras video processing algorithms. In fact, as contact-less sensors do not modify dynamics system under test. Furthermore, full-field displacement data, allowing transfer functions with single excitation, reduces experiment duration. On downside, camera suitable relatively low-frequency applications only require optical contrast on component surface. Dynamic Stability of High Speed Micromilling Based on Modal Analysis for Determining the Tool-tip Dynamics
Micromilling process is used for fabrication and manufacturing of miniaturized components. Very high spindle rotational speeds are required in micromilling to reduce the chip load and to counter the low flexural rigidity of the micro-tool while machining hard materials. Apart from the high rotational speed (>100,000 rpm) which can excite dynamic instability, the dynamic force variation in micro...
متن کاملStructural Modal Identification Through High Speed Camera Video: Motion Magnification
Video cameras offer the unique capability of collecting high density spatial data from a distant scene of interest. They could be employed as remote monitoring or inspection sensors because of their commonplace use, simplicity, and relatively low cost. The difficulty is in interpreting the video data into a usable format, such as displacement, that is familiar to engineers. A methodology called...
متن کاملDesign and Analysis of A Suspension Coil Spring For Automotive Vehicle
The suspension system is used to observe the vibrations from shock loads due to irregularities of the road surface. It is perform its function without impairing the stability, steering (or) general handling of the vehicle. Generally for light vehicles, coil springs are used as suspension system. A spring is an elastic object used to store mechanical energy and it can be twist, pulled (or) stret...

Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) procedure is now considered as a robust tool for estimating the seismic sidesway collapse capacity of structures. However, the procedure is time-consuming and requires numerous nonlinear response-history analyses. This paper proposes a simplified Modal Pushover Analysis (MPA) procedure for IDA of RC moment-resisting frames. The proposed method uses the dynamic...
متن کاملEvent-based, 6-DOF Camera Tracking for High-Speed Applications
In contrast to standard cameras, which produce frames at a fixed rate, event cameras respond asynchronously to pixel-level brightness changes, thus enabling the design of new algorithms for high-speed applications with latencies of microseconds. However, this advantage comes at a cost: because the output is composed by a sequence of events, traditional computer-vision algorithms are not applica...
